Chang Jing
Guzheng Virtuoso, Music Producer, Founder of Xian Ensemble, and China-Greece Cultural Ambassador
Chang Jing is an acclaimed Guzheng virtuoso, music producer, and founder of the Xian Ensemble. She also serves as a China-Greece Cultural Ambassador and is the Guzheng instructor to Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand. Her exceptional talent has earned her national recognition, leading to a solo performance at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and a solo recital at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2019.
Chang has collaborated with notable figures such as Lorin Maazel, one of the world's most sought-after conductors, and Chen Qigang, a renowned and widely performed composer. She has performed with prestigious orchestras including the Orchestre National de France and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
Her solo Guzheng performances have been featured in films such as "Under the Hawthorn Tree" and "Shadow" directed by Zhang Yimou, as well as "Ashes of Time Redux" by Wong Kar-wai. Chang has released eight solo albums, further solidifying her status as a leading figure in the world of Guzheng music.
